Facility Rentals

First Unitarian Universalist Church of New Orleans is as much a neighborhood community center as it is a place of faith. We host community partners in our building such as the Center for Ethical Living & Social Justice Renewal, and Food For Friends; we open our doors to all as a means of support – and your support can lend strength to our community as well.

Our facility boasts beautiful spaces for every kind of event. Our Sanctuary is our most reverent space and contains stained glass windows (including the Gordon Sisters Window, featured at the New Orleans Historic Collection on several occasions), a balcony, and a hand-laid stone tile Labyrinth. Just down our Memorial Hallway is our Chapel, a cozy space with stained glass windows and bamboo floors. In our Religious Exploration Wing our classrooms and Nursery sit – Theodore Clapp Classroom with its spacious bamboo flooring and large windows overlooking the Courtyard, William Ellery Channing Classroom with its hand-painted wall art, and our small yet airy Nursery. Past the Flowers Wing is our Fellowship Hall, a large Gym from the 1950s, perfect for any reception event, rally, or sports tournament. And just before reaching our fully equipped Kitchens, one would enter our Albert Schweitzer Library – a lending library with floor length windows overlooking our stonework Courtyard. Feel free to inquire about our additional folding chairs, tables, audio/visual equipment, and other offerings.

Conveniently located in the Broadmoor neighborhood of New Orleans, we have street parking and are located on an RTA bus line as well as offer bike racks.
