“Santosha: seeking contentment in tiny living”

Guest Speaker: Haiyan Khan

Haiyan Khan is a computer programmer and yoga instructor who founded the Santosha Village project, a collaboration which seeks to make available self-governed, hyper-affordable community living for the homeless in New Orleans. Santosha is the Sanskrit word for “contentment.”

Special Collection: on the first Sunday of every month, we dedicate the offering to an important cause or organization. This Sunday the chosen recipient is This Sunday the chosen recipient is Urmos, our partner church in Transylvania.

Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour, for the end of Daylight Savings Time.

“Greater New Orleans UU Intergenerational All-Music Service at Community Church Unitarian Universalist”

Led by the Music Directors of the 3 churches

Our last GNOUU Music Service was a great success, showing off the talents in the three churches, and proving that music has great spiritual power. This year’s service, with participation from all GNOUU congregations, will be held at CCUU, starting at 11am. (get directions.) There will be no service at First UU.
