 Our congregation was born in 1833 out of the radical heresy of Rev. Theodore Clapp, that God loves all humanity. Our History The earliest days of our congregation found our ministers and members deeply involved in civic life, in issues of equity and justice, and this tradition carries through today. Through the programs of the Center for Ethical Living, the church’s Social Justice Team, and the individual efforts of our members and friends, we work together to make this city and this world a better place. Children and young people are important to us; they are the future of our world. We are honored when parents bring their precious children to us for religious nurture and ethical training, and we are proud of our Nursery, Sunday School, and Youth Group.
